A fabric covered awning or canopy has several advantages over a fixed aluminum type awning or canopy.

• There are over 100 choices of solid and striped colors for coordinating with your homes decor. 

• When constructed with a welded together aluminum framework most any shape and style can be produced.

• Aluminum frame work will not rust.

• Fabric covering can be replaced if faded or if a color or pattern change is desired.

• Retractable styles can be rolled out when needed and back in when not needed.  Hand cranks are standard and electric motors are an available option.

Additionally there are some disadvantages to a fabric covered awning.

• Fabric lifetime is subject to weather and sunlight conditions.  Warranted for five years.

• Retractable styles are not to be left out during high winds or rain as they could collapse or blow away.

• Some shapes can not be utilized as a permanent patio or deck cover due to snow load requirements.

• Fabric covered units will USUALLY cost more than similar size and shape aluminum products.
